Surprisingly, even among those who never set foot in Israel before – there is a strong sense of home-coming.  The sites and progress that they find is beyond their wildest dreams. Whatever the purpose of the visit, it is likely that at some point it feels like a pilgrimage – a journey of the heart.

                   Rick Perry supports Israel

Texas governor and republican presidential hopeful Rick Perry; “We send a powerful message to the world that we are going to be there to support Israel and we are going to be there unwavering. To the people of Israel – help is on the way. Jerusalem must be united under Israeli rule.

The Arabs are not interested in ‘a two state solution’; their ultimate ‘solution’ remains the destruction of the Jewish state”. See live video at >

John Boehner – reassure Israel of American solidarity

House Speaker John Boehner reassured Israel of American solidarity in a major address on September 18;           “I have read suggestions by newspaper columnists and observers that events have overtaken Israel … that Israel is ‘isolating itself’ in the Middle East. That view is wrong. Israel is not isolating itself – Israel is leading in the Middle East. Israel does not stand alone – Israel stands above as the one true beacon of freedom and opportunity in the Middle East. We are here to see that Israel continues to thrive – and to make clear it is America’s duty to stand by her side.  Not just as a broker or observer – but as a strong partner and reliable ally”.

“For this to be a truly transformational time one thing cannot change … and that is America’s commitment to Israel’s future as Israel have always stood by us in the war against terror. For Israel, the enemy is close … and committed. Israel’s neighbor does not even acknowledge its right to exist. Let’s look out for one another and keep at it – never quit”.     Read more at > http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/148100

 Keep the streets free from dog poop

The municipality of Petach-Tikva to pass a law that would allow testing the DNA of dog feces left in the streets and sidewalks, and send a ticket (~$200) to the owner of the dog matching the DNA of the abandoned excrement. A saliva sample will be collected from all the dogs in the city to create a DNA database.
 Saliva sample could also be collected when dogs are brought in for their yearly rabies shots. Dog owners, knowing they can be traced, will collect their dog’s poop themselves. Petach-Tikva is the third city to implement this rule in Israel.

Keeping bugs out of food

Bio(pack) makes a package coating from non toxic plant extracts already programmed by nature to repel insects.

– it can also be sprayed around the perimeter of ware-houses. Bio(pack) discovered a perfectly natural, safe and long lasting compound applied on food packages to keep insects away from food.

Agriculturalists long knew, for example, that spearmint repel ants, coriander repels aphids, horseradish keeps away potato beetles, tomato repels cabbage maggots and potatoes keep Mexican bean beetles at bay. However, Bio(pack) product is the first to combine numerous elements from plants that repel bugs.

Technology;

British TV on Israel’s hi-tech industry

:” Israel is home for thousands of start-ups and many of the web-tools and gadgets that we use every day were born in this tiny state that became the Mecca of the technology. 40% of Israels’ export is hi-tech. Israeli students arrive to universities after 3-4 year of military service – thereof older than in other countries. They don’t accept everything they hear – finding another solution is part of their culture. Israel attracts 20 times more venture capital money than Europe. The country has the highest concentration of scientists and engineers in the world. Google and all other giant firms established their R&D centers here. The combination of advantages that Israel has will not be easy for other countries to emulate.”

Micro Satellites

Israeli technological breakthroughs have lead to building new “micro” and “nano” satellites that are impervious to weather changes. These satellites are cheap to manufacture and extremely cheap to launch since they weigh less than 22 pounds. The significant development in electro-optic observation and communication technology enables to receive quality pictures and transmit accurate information in any climate. Israel Airspace Industries IAI has a perfect record in this field and every satellite that was launched is operating flawlessly for many years. http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/148078
